A Week in Five Pictures

Woohoo!  It's Friday and it's Valentines day!  I feel like I am just going non-stop today but in a good way!  So, once again I am just going to leave you with a few pictures from the week.  Have a beautiful weekend!

A cute notebook (that I don't want to write in because it's so pretty!), my planner, and a JessLC card that I don't think I'll ever use.  Did anyone else every buy anything from Jess?  I wish her shop was still open.

I got this print from Alphonnsine, isn't it gorgeous?

Just so good.  If you haven't read The Goldfinch, you need to!

A little reading corner that we set up this past week.  I spent too much time here, reading the last pic ;)

I stopped into chip-fil-a to get a tea this week and the boy behind the counter decided that he liked me, I suppose.  He gave me a little wink and handed me some ice cream and said, "It's on the house."  Okay. I'll take it.

How was your week?  What do you have planned this weekend?

My Everyday

Oh it's Friday!  I'm so excited for this weekend.  I have finally been able to whittle down my to do list this week and the weekend is wide open for relaxation!

Today I am rolling out a new weekly post called My Everyday.  It's a little round up of snapshots from the week, ordinary moments made beautiful… so let's just dive right in.

edgy, booties, black, buckles, sweater, J. Crew, black skinnies

J. Crew FACTORY JEWEL-COLLAR OXFORD SHELL

The Goldfinch book, coffee cup, Target

skull, succulent, milk glass, mirror box, Target

Jewelry design, Smitten on Sunday, gems, behind the scenes

It's been a good, busy week.  I got a few new goodies (that gorgeous top from J. Crew and The Goldfinch!), worked hard on my re-branding and designing more jewels and packaging, and drank copious amounts of tea.  Side note: package design is almost as fun as jewelry designing, something that was pleasantly surprising.  Gah, yes, this was a great week!  Here's to an equally wonderful weekend.

What does your day to day look like?

High Five for Friday

Happy Friday you guys!  I hope you had a wonderful week.  Mine was pretty good but pretty exhausting as well so I am so ready for this weekend!  N's birthday is tomorrow so that makes it all the more fun!

I'm back with High Five for Friday today, linking up with Lauren :)

I worked on some new stuff for the shop this past weekend :)

And had some yummy, homemade bruschetta

Planned a  successful surprise date night for N and I.

Got some goodies in the mail from my lovely friend Jessica!

And realized Christmas has come to Hobby Lobby!  The count down had begun, you guys!

High Five For Friday

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you had a great week!  I was MIA for a bit of it, so sorry 'bout that.  But giveaways!  I have two of them this week. Holla!  Here they are:

Once again I am linking up with Lauren for #H54F... and you should too!  Show us your week in pictures and add your link :)

  1. When I went home to visit my parents I started that dreaded process of cleaning out all my things (because my parents think I'm old enough that I need to take all the rest of my things that I left when I moved out - phhht!).  It actually turned out to be pretty interesting though... I found these notebooks from middle school.  One is devoted entirely to a novel about two girls in the 17th century.  No lie.  And the other is a notebook that my best friend and I wrote back and forth to each other in.  Needless to say, after I found these babies, I didn't do much else.
  2. French toast is my all time favorite breakfast food and my mom surprise-woke me up with it on Wednesday morning.  There was perfection in all that powdered sugar-y goodness.
  3. Also, while cleaning, I hit the goldmine of 90s boy band collections.  All backstreet boys, N'Sync, 98 Degrees, Hanson, annnnnd O-Zone. They're all there.  And they may have flown back with me.
  4. Mornings have seriously become my thing.  It's blissful how quite the house is at 7am. And how cool my office is.  LIke, the sun hits it just right in the afternoon and it gets HOT.  Good lighting for pictures though, so we'll just focus on that.
  5. So yeah, I can count and stuff... thats only four!  I know, right?!  Can we just chalk this up as a week spent too in the moment for pictures?  That's the only excuse I've got, guys.  Buuuuut... while I've got ya here, follow me on instagram.

#H54F

Oh, Friday!  I am so happy that you are here.  Please never leave??  Also, please let me drive this one home... I am on vacation!  Im not doing a lot (and I will still be blogging!) but I am not working and that is cause for celebration is it not?

And what better way to celebrate than to join in on the High Five for Friday fun #h34f #fun

but really guys, I'd love to see what your week was like, so says instagram, so go link up with all of us.  You want to and you know it!

We went to the drive in for a double feature and it was glorious!  This is the best thing about this small(ish) town.  Its still got some of that charm.

So we still have 5 puppies.  Five little furry rug rats that never. calm. down.  I am so serious guys, energy out the ears. I can't even.

We had a horrrrrible thunder/lightning/rain/wind/potential (but never actual) tornado storm.  It was so intense that we had to wait it out at work because the wind outside would knock you clear down.  It wasn't until a few of us brave gals decided to make a run for it that anything was actually accomplished.  And accomplished we were!  So much so that I made myself a cake, because well, I was a bad-a.  Also, my adrenaline that resulted from running at full speed in the rain was still in high gear, so I couldn't sleep.  So that too, I guess.

Anyone ever read An Object of Beauty?  Me neither.  But I started it today and so far, brilliant.  But I'll let you know.

I walked my german dog this week.  Who never gets walked, ever.  So it was super interesting to be pulled down the street by this 70 pound dude. I guess we should have started him as a puppy.  #badparents

Soooo... for real, link up! and happy weekend!

High 5 For Friday

It is Friday again and that is a wonderful, wonderful thing.  We've been crazy busy around these parts but Friday and Saturday are for date night and relaxing, respectively.  This week, I want to jump back on the H54F train since I haven't participated in a little while, and I miss it.  So here are some of the things that have been going on, according to instagram.

▲ the makings of a gallery wall in the kitchen.  Please don't mind the empty/fake family frames, I need some more pictures, but I'm also impatient

▲ This huge margarita was almost as big as the chip bowl.  And it was scrumptious.

▲ This is what I woke up to one morning this week.  Which reminds me heavily of Austin, which I miss.  Gorgeous, right?

▲ The puppies are growing up so fast!  They're even posing!  But how cute is this little mug?

▲ Some night are just made for video games.  There, I said it.  I like the occasional game of Call of Duty.

So what have you been up to this week?  Link up with everyone here:

High Five for Friday

Hey guys, it is Friday!  My week has been chock full of stuff.  I've just finally gotten to sit down and relax, so my friday is treating me well.

Since it is Friday, I am linking up with Lauren from From My Grey Desk for her High Five For Friday link up! So here is what my week has looked like:

Plane views > any other views.  They are just awe-inspiring

Homemade pizza on an experimental homemade crust

Margaritas on Lake Austin.  Oh how I love that city.

And more dinner... Macaroni and Brownies.  I never claimed to be good, guys.

And a little home state pride, because I love Texas.

How was your week?  Let us know and link up :)

High Five for Friday

This week has been chock full of moving moving moving.  I literally packed and transported all week (and did a little new place shopping, naturally).  So if you don't enjoy scenes from my new home then this isn't the post for you, unfortunately.  If you do, then what a coincidence!  But you have my word that next week will be more eventful (and feature far less pictures of my kitchen).  You're very welcome.

Gorgeous natural light in the morning.  Waking up will be peaceful.

Unpacking like a boss.  Kitchen first, naturally.

This pretty little church was tucked away in a neighborhood.  I was looking for a thrift shop that my phone said was down the street.  It was not.

A very neat, well curated, antique store.

The flowers Nick got me when I was having a bad day.  He told me he was going into the store to get a newspaper and came out with these.  I think I'll keep him.

As always, linking up with Lauren from From My Grey Desk!  Click below to join in on the fun and check out every one else's week!

High Five for Friday (plus a few)

Hello!  I am once again linking up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk for her High Five for Friday link up!  Pop on over and join in.

This week has been eventful.  So eventful in fact that the 5 for friday is becoming the 7 for friday on my little blog this week.  So we'll call it the High Five for Friday with a few to grow on.  Moving on...

1 With the move coming up in a hurry I feel the need to pre-shop.  I can. not. help. it.  I am so excited to decorate our new place that I have been frequenting Target, perhaps a bit too much.

2. My Thursday night consisted of drinking wine while helping my former roomie pack for her big girl job move to Chicago!  I would be jealous until I remember that this means I have a free place to stay whenever I get the urge to go.  While sifting through stuff I found a little kitchen plaque we bought for our very first apartment when we were little freshman babies.  I wrote a little note on the back and quickly stuck it into a box so she'd find it when she unpacked.  I left the sticker to remind us of the meagerness of our decorating budget - and how excited we were to be buying our first pieces of "art."

3. Deciding on my Warby Parker frames was difficult, but someone has to do the hard stuff.
4. This is a throwback but I loved it and had to share.  Max got cut out but I can assure you, he was super precious as a puppy.

5. And here he is now.  Making weird faces and stuff.  But seriously, stop doing that with your mouth please.

6. This is my, 'how am I ever going to get everything together before we have to be out of our house?' face.  And this is where you may say, 'maybe you should stop shopping and actually pack - and learn to be sneakier, I can see those clothes in the background...'

7. Wake up call.  This is how I am greeted in the morning by my Ellie - complete with some nudging and kisses.

How was your week?
