Monthly Musts: April

I haven't done this in a few months but I forgot how much I enjoy looking forward to what the new month has to offer, so here we are again!  Monthly months is back!  Here are my musts for April...

MUST WATCH // I'm actually not even sure right now!  The Walking Dead is over for the season, How I Met Your Mother is over for good.  And those were the only two that I would actually watch whenever they came on.  I'm never up on my shows.  Pretty much I don't get into them until there's about 4 or 5 seasons on Netflix and I go crazy on binge watching.  Then I get obsessed with the shows, start talking about them, and then I realize that I'm behind the times, like by a few years, and everyone is already done talking about it.

MUST DO // Picnics.  I have been bugging Nick to go on a picnic since we started dating, over three years ago.  I told him the other day that THIS is the year… the spring that we will go on a picnic.  I've build it up so much that I will probably love it initially but then realize that yeah, we're just eating food on the ground.

MUST MAKE // I've been getting the urge to try my hand at sewing something that I can wear.  I have been "sewing" since my parents bought me a sewing machine when I was 6 but I have yet to really give it a go to make something that isn't just for kicks.  I'll probably start with a skirt or something easy but you can bet I'll be sharing the effort here.

MUST WEAR // Graphic tees and boyfriend jeans!  I just bought a Sincerely Jules tee that I have been in love with for a long time and it's all I want to wear.  It goes well with my boyfriend jeans and sandals and it's perfect for my day to day errands and such.  And honestly, if I am not going to be seeing anyone I know, I'll probably wear that outfit it two days in a row at least.  I actually even wore it to work with a pencil skirt and blazer so yeah, I am definitely trying to get my money's worth.

MUST GO // To Austin!  Austin is so so pretty in the spring, as if it wasn't beautiful year round.  I have been saving up my southwest rapid rewards so that I can go a bit crazy with the amount of trips I make.  It's perfect for a weekend trip because the flight is only an hour long.  I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

MUST FEEL // Patient.  We've concocted a plan to move back to Austin but it is anything but sure.  Nick and I both really want this but there is still a lot to figure out and arrange before that becomes reality.  Patience isn't my strong point which can lead to a lot of stress in situations like these.  I am doing my best to let go and have faith that things will go the way that is best for us.

Here's to a wonderful April!  Have a great one, you guys :)

  2. Oh, I love Austin. I've been making a lot of day trips to Austin lately. It's a short drive for me. I can't wait for the day I finish grad school so I can move to Austin.

And a picnic sounds so nice. The Walking Dead, ah! I can't wait for the next season. :)

  4. Must watch... DIVERGENT! I have yet to reach the end of How I Met Your Mother, or even try the Walking Dead. Picnics are awesome! Even more when you go to castle ruins, and play hide and seek. Or to the gardens and mess in the sprinklers... maybe with more than two people :P Now that's fun! I hope you have an awesome April too!
