I Am Grateful, Week 2

Daisy.  Daisy is our puppy.  The offspring of our other two dogs, actually.  We ended up with her because she was the last one left after all the others got adopted.  That didn't sit well with my little heart at all.  I have a soft spot for the "outcasts." Which N pointed out, wasn't a trait of this little puppy because, ya know, one of them had to be last.  But Im all like blah blah sob sob, no one wants this little puppy! Oh the heartless!  And she became ours.  So yeah, I am grateful for her because she is a little ball of energy and fur and cuteness she positively radiates happiness.  As it goes with puppies.

Thunderstorms.  Last night we had a big, loud, angry thunderstorm.  It was the best, most angry kind.  All the flashes and booming. Oh what a noise!  It's the absolute best to open the curtains just a bit and crawl into bed and focus on the darkest corner you can find.  Then wait for the lightning to come through the window and light it all up.  Oh the dramatics.  There are few things more soothing than a nighttime thunderstorm.  Except...

My Duvet.  I know, you guys, I know.  The concern is not lost on me.  A duvet?  Well yes!  Maybe one wouldn't typically sing the praises of thankfulness about a bedcover but therein lies the point.    Things don't have to be extraordinary to be grateful making. So, this blanket that was probably something like a cloud or a particular animated unicorn in its last life.  There's many a night of restful sleep that I owe to this guy.  If you have never slept with one, then I do think you owe yourself this luxury sometime in your life.  The fluffiness is such a dream. Oh me oh my.

And cue obligatory gif:

So, link up with me, guys!  What are you thankful for this week? PS, find out more here!

  3. I totaaaallly understand the duvet thing - I LOVE my duvet! Even in the summer, I like to bury myself under as many covers as I can (which usually isn't too many, because we've had some piping hot days, haha)
