A Weekend, An Annoucement, and A Sale

Hey everyone!  I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend :)

This weekend, N and I managed to push date night from Friday, to Saturday, and eventually to Sunday where the idea finally met it's demise and resigned itself to take out and Breaking Bad.  As it goes with us homebodies.  I don't have an excuse for Friday, but Saturday oh Saturday.

We are procrastinators, down to our very core-y cores.  It's so bad that it applies to things that should be what we are procrastinating for. Like, you put off doing the dishes so that you can go see a movie.  Us?  Call us overachievers. We procrastinate life so hard.

But, the Saturday revelation was that we procrastinated going to dinner because we got caught up listening to music.  Don't you remember high school when you would just post up somewhere with your significant other or best friend and share a headphone?  Ya know, one bud for each of you buds.  Well, it was kind of like that.  Only, we are in our mid 20s.  And we've upgraded since those original ipods.  Like sticking my iPhone in a wine glass.  Because, ya know, free speakers.  But that's beside the point.

We literally sat in a darkened living room and rambled off songs we thought the other should hear.  "You need to listen to this!" "Oh, this song is just perfect!" or Ns favorite: "This is one of my favorite songs." Such a talker.  We played all of those old soul-cleanching melodies of our past, and tunes that everyone needs to hear at least once.  The names that were thrown around included Journey's Open Arms, Gary Jules rendition of Mad World, Konstantine by Something Corporate, Bohemian Rhapsody, Boston by Snow Patrol, Hear You Me by Jimmy Eat World, Some Flogging Molly and the Pogues,  The acoustic version of Only One and my all time favorite, Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers.  Give that one a whirl.  You'll be impressed.

You know how you grow up and in all your adulthood you forget that music can make things magical.  Well this was one of those nights that made great headway in correcting that big 'ole fatal flaw. //

Side note: has anyone else ever heard of the British pop band McFly?  I was hopelessly obsessed with them a few years back.  They're pretty catchy and pretty fine if we really get down to it.  Anyway.  For the life of me I cannot remember how I found out about them but they made me feel cool for a while since none of my friends had heard of them.  Yep.

Buuuuuut, there's even more to this long-o post on a Monday!

I have an exciting announcement :)

I have decided to venture into the world of blog design!  I have set up a little site here and I'd love it if you'd check it out.

But second, the backstory.

I have been interested in coding and designing for a while now.  Back in my early high school days I started trying to learn html so that I could make a Harry Potter website.  No lie, guys.

Since then, I have done a bit here and there and I have generally done most of my own blog design (except for my current design! time constraints at the time and such).  Now, I am excited to start doing this a bit more and sharing it with the blogging world.

Since I am just starting out, I have made a few example sites to let you see a bit of what I can do but with your blogging dreams we could do so much more! I'd like to chance to build a real portfolio so, I have a deal for ya, if you're interested.

In efforts to build my portfolio and give this little venture a boost, I'd like to extend the offer above.  The offer includes custom packages as well.  This will work on a first come first serve basis.  You can either send in an order form, or contact me to save your space (but you must be intending to purchase within a few days).  No need to use any codes, I will automatically take the amount off :)

Let me know if you have any questions!

Congrats on expanding!! :) That's big news! I can barely put buttons on my sidebar so actual coding is like... well, beyond anything I can comprehend. You rock!
