Weekly Wishes

So, this picture has nothing to do with this post, besides the fact that I wrote "weekly wishes" across it, of course.  I was looking through some old pictures this weekend and I came across this one from the day that we brought Ellie home.  Max loved her instantly… and they're still best buds.

But anyway… last week's wishes were to take some time and plan out some trips for this year, do something by myself, and go running.  Status?  I did start planning some trips!  We are thinking about a trip to Europe late September/Early October and a few smaller trips before then including a road trip to Northern California with my family this summer, and something within the next few months.  I haven't figured that one out yet.  I am having a hard time getting out to really do something by myself, apart from the time I already spend by myself.  When Nick is working I am totally content to stay home and power through some "work" like learning wordpress(!!) and writing blog posts.  I'm still working on it. Lastly, I did run this week, but I literally just squeaked by.  Like, by the seat of my pants! I went running last night just so I wouldn't have to say that I didn't do it, again.  But I'm okay with it.

A few goals for this week:

  1. Work on developing some wordpress themes.  Preliminary ones at least.  I am picking up my design work again and I am wanting to introduce Wordpress.  After I get a little bit more comfortable.
  2. Assemble the last bit of my jewelry, take photos, and upload them to the new site!  Hopefully I can get going on this… the whole "re-branding" thing has gone on a bit longer than I expected it to so I am ready to wrap it all up!
  3. Take the pups for more walks.  Our place has a backyard so I have fallen into the habit of letting them run off their steam out there. I really enjoy taking them for walks though so I want to make it a point to do more of that this week.
Here's to another wonderful week! Have a good one :)

  3. Your trips sound fantastic! Also, the picture of the puppies is adorable. Congrats on your success with your wishes from last week (even if the run just barely made it in haha), I hope you're just as successful this week! I dream of the day we will have a yard where we can just let the dog out and run.

P.S. I checked out your Etsy store and your jewelry is beautiful!

  5. You have adorable puppies! How cute!
I'm the same way when I comes to being content to working alone at home while my husband is at work - it can be surprisingly hard to motivate myself to get out of the house and be productive elsewhere. Your wishes for this week sound great. Good luck!
