Monthly Musts // October

A litte while ago I saw a post by Allyssa that outlined her fall musts.  I immediately fell in love with the idea.  I wanted to take it a step further and make it a monthly thing because it is such a nice way to look forward and get excited for the month ahead.  This is especially true with me right now because we are getting into the fall months and these are my absolute favorites.

So October is officially here and I am ready to get into the thick of fall!

MUST  WATCH  //  The Walking Dead.  Breaking Bad is gone but the Walking Dead is coming back to fill my lonely heart.  If you need your zombie fix, that'll do it.

MUST  DO  //  Pumpkin carving, of course!  I'm not sure which stage of pumpkin carving I find myself in this year, though.  I mean, when you're a kid you carve pumpkins because, well, you're a kid.  In college you carve pumpkins with your roommates because it's cute and there's lots of picture taking opportunities.  And now, it's just me, reminding N on the daily that pumpkin carving will happen ya know, sometime before halloween.  I'm holding him to it, you guys.

MUST  MAKE  //   An arm knitted scarf.  I just ran across this on Pinterest the other day and it seems simple enough.  I have a ton of yarn laying around from when I decided I wanted to knit a blanket.  Only to quit when it took me an hour to make three rows.  This seems fast, which is my kind of knitting.

MUST  WEAR  //  In honor of a new, big girl job, I bought myself this beauty.  For reasons like needing to bring my lunch, of course.  This is my must wear because it is pretty.  But also because with that price, I have to get some mileage.

MUST  GO  //  To the corn maze.  I've been here for about 7 years now and I cannot believe that I have never made it out to the corn maze.  I keep telling N that I want to wait until it gets cold to go, for the whole experience and stuff.  It's funny, as a kid, N used to work there around halloween, scaring people as they walked through.  I'm making it a point to not go around Halloween.

MUST  FEEL  //  Cozy.  If I am being honest, I broke out my best blankets a while back now, maybe like in August.  You never can be too prepared ya know, for things like these.

Are you as excited for October as I am?  What are your favorite "October" things to do?

And I'd love to introduce you to one of my lovely sponsors this month!

  3. I love corn mazes, but I do NOT want to go to the ones where people jump out and scare you. Being lost is enough for me, thank you!

  5. I want to go apple picking! I can take or leave carving pumpkins, but I've never been apple picking and I'm determined that this year will be the year where that changes.

  11. Awww I love your list! The corn maze is definitely on my list as is carving a pumpkin, as always! I WISH I could keep watching The Walking Dead. I watched it all the way up until the baby was...born and I quit. I just kept having nightmares! HAHA! I don't handle scary stuff too well. I really enjoyed the storyline and I would cover my ears when any squishy sounds happened, but I finally had to give up. I'm such a wuss.

Oh and first time reader :) You have an adorable blog!
