My New Apartment and Sam's Club

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and Sam’s Club. All opinions are mine alone.

So we have moved into and (mostly) unpacked and decorated our very first place in Austin, TX.  It's been a fun few months and we owe a good deal of our ease of transition to Sam's Club. Let me explain...

As some of you may know, Nick and I moved to Austin at the end of July.  It was a whirlwind move. We decided to move and two weeks and a lot of effort later, we were here.  My parents still live in Austin so they graciously let us stay there while we looked for a place to live.

A little over a month ago we officially moved into our new apartment! If you know anything about me then you know that I have a serious affinity for decorating and for getting my adobe into tip top shape. I kind of obsess over my decor, make lists on top of lists, pin countless ideas on pinterest, and generally make a huge deal out of decorating any place that I live.  I kind of wish that I had infinite amount of time ponder all the decor ideas.  I also kind of wish that I had an unlimited budget.  Sadly, neither are the case.

But, you guys, I have stumbled onto something, let me tell ya.

Back in the day, when I moved into my first apartment, my mom and I went looking for a couch and ended up buying one from Sam's Club. I expected to use it for a year or two and then find another couch once I graduated.  Turns out, this couch has lasted through college and then some… and it's still going strong! I kind of love it.

So, seeing as my track record was pretty good, I decided to get my own Sam's Club membership and see how Sam's could help me stick to my budget without compromising on the things I really wanted. Great decision.

I was browsing the other day and I was stopped in my tracks because right there, in the aisle in front of me were the industrial stools that I had been wanting for quite a while. I do this a lot though, I see something that I love only to realize that they are out of my price range, so I tried not to get too excited just yet.  But that was literally only for a minute because when I checked the price I couldn't believe it. Literally, they were $9. The bar stools that I had been pining over that sell for over $100 a piece at some places, were a whopping $32 for the four that I needed. Done and done.

And that is what got me started.

If by some magic I found these stools here, at a steal, who know how many other amazing finds were waiting. So I went searching. And by searching a mean that I walked down the aisles and found great deals everywhere. My second favorite find was this white garden stool:

It had been on my list and lo and behold, I found one! During that trip found tons of goodies for our new place so I had to bring Nick along and let him see for himself why I loved it so much. Clearly, he had a good time as well.

As awesome as finding affordable things for my home is, Sam's club has even more to offer!  With your Sam's membership you get special instant savings on things throughout the store, you can get discounts on fuel purchases, they provide special health benefits such as health screenings, exceptional members only services, and you can save so much money by buying the things you need at Sams. Not to mention you can do this all in once place, so there's that.

Want to try Sam's Club for yourself? You're in luck! They are having an open house and you're invited! Find more information about signing up and joining Sam's Club here.
