Introducing the I Am Grateful Link-Up

Hello there!  Today I'm kind of excited to bring you something that I have been thinking about for a while... my own little link up, about being grateful.  I mentioned a few reasons why I ran with this idea, the other day.  But all and all, positivity is something that I want to be more intentional with.  And being intentionally grateful is a beautiful way to start.

I am grateful for...

My apartment.  Sometimes I fall into the trap of wishing I had something bigger and better and grander but when I take a step back I realize that I really have it good.  The kind of good that makes you feel a little icky for feeling like it wasn't perfect in the first of places.  Maybe it doesn't have all hard wood floors and huge windows but it does have space for an office and a yard for our dogs, and a fireplace.

My parents.  Im not trying to be cliche and cheesy but my parents have always been the kind of wonderful humans who tell me that I can do anything and that above all, they want me to be happy.  And gosh they mean it.  When I was having a particularly slumpish school slump they supported me but also let me know that if college wasn't for me, if it didn't make me happy, then it wasn't something I had to do.  And this is coming from a family that expected some college educated kiddos. So it was a sentiment solely born of their love for me.  Which makes me the ever more grateful for their special mix of lovin' and thangs.

N. You knew he'd be on here, you sure did! Smarty pants. I could go into all these gooey ewey mushy details but that's not the point.  You see, he is the person that I can be the most comfortable with.  And the person that will listen to how I dream craziness up in my brain.  And he makes sense of all these inner workings of mine.  Those things are hard to figure out on your own, you know?  Because they need to fit with someone.  And he's the other piece to this very small, two piece puzzle. Gush.

Have I won you over in terms of participating??  Good! Look below to get all the deets.

The Guidelines

What is it?
This is a link up that promotes being positive and looking for the things in your life that you are grateful for!  Think: Gratitude journal for your blog.

How do I Participate?
To participate just write your own post about what you are grateful for this week and then come add your post to the link up!  My post will go up every Wednesday but feel free to link up anytime throughout the week.

Be creative!  Share your instagrams and tell what in those photos you're grateful for.  Make a list.  Make a collage.  Do your thing.

Take A Button & Share!
Place a button at the end of your post so that the link-up can grow!  The more people that participate, the more fun it will be.

Make Friends
The real reason for a link-up is to connect with other bloggers out there who are interested in the same thing you are!  So click on over to other blogs and make some new (positive!) buds.

A Little Note:
Please make sure that you are linking up the link to your post, not your blogs homepage.  Also, only link up posts that are on topic.  All irrelevant posts will be removed.

Whenever you link up, send me a shootout on twitter (@sarahbrooke) and I'll retweet your post!

Gosh, Girl! You brought me to tears.. And I mean it! This Gratefulness of yours is beautiful. And you're one big lucky girl to have all this around you. Family who wishes you the best.. who understands you, and don't judge you - is some kind of a biggest dream to all of us! And the last bit of your grateful words made me think a lot.
This is how people should feel while being with someone. If you don't feel that - move on. And find one who will make you to feel like that.
    Golden words of yours!
I will try my best to get a chance and link up with you, as now I'm just packed with work. SO crazy busy. But would LOVE to be a part of this adorable thing! X
